Artist: JOKERELLI

Title: Jokerelli Format: CD EP

Rated: New Jersey based Jokerelli produced music that have the sound of the 80's. Vintage 80's synth sounds with guitar layers is what this one man solo act used. Soothing, unique, beautiful and creative that's suitable to be categorize under new wave/new romantic. Tenor male vocals distinct. Defintely a college radio and club friendly album that can get an undivided attention. The production is crisp and transparent. Each tracks are danceable with capability and accessibility that they deserve. A maturity step approach with a good reputation. Jokerelli has highly succeeded with this. Enjoyable tracks "Surrender (Wild At Heart)" with beautiful female vocals by Lara Parks, "Remember When" is a reminder of Duran Duran and "Make A Wish". A decent six song ep to check out.

"I am already hooked on your music, it reminds me of the reasons I became a Goth DJ in the first place." - DJ Ghost - Newcastle DJ at The Charnel House et al.

Jokerelli play a mixture of post punk/ new wave/ Gothic and are an example of the wealth of unsigned talent to be found in virtual space. Surrender (wild at heart) - intriguing female vocals feature in this slice of Gothic/new wave. A classic song based around Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. This should become a favourite in Gothic clubs across the world. I Wonder this time featuring deft male vocals which swim through the ethereal post punk/80's new wave arrangement.Make A Wish - a dark indie mix with a hint of My Bloody Valentine or even Ride.Remember When (edit) - another song that would work well in a club playing new wave post punk. WTC Tower 2 2007 - very 80's new wave sounding almost like a typical 12 mix. A great instrumental. Seminole Lament - this is an amazing uptempo new wave ditty which only needs a vocal to be the icing on the cake. I Wonder (edit) - a shortened version of what is already a good song. Remember When - the full length version of this excellent song. This music will straongly appeal to fans of the Project, Middle Pillar, Wierd Music labels and new wave/post punks sounds. Lets hope Jokerelli find a label to get their creative music heard by a deserving wider audience! -
